Royal Ascot 2025
Tuesday 17th to Saturday 21st June
Legends will be made as the Royal meeting at Ascot comes around again in June. The extended five day meeting is now Britain’s most popular race meeting with over 300,000 race goers attending.
Flat racing horses from all parts of the world will come to contest some of the hottest races anywhere on the planet.
We start off with The Queen Anne Stakes which is a big race of what is normally considered the best day of flat racing in the UK. Trying to pick the favourite of this race, let alone the winner is a tough task. Rosallion (4/1), Dancing Gemini (4/1) and Lead Artist (5/1) all head the market in what is a competitive race.
Wednesday’s headline race is the Prince of Wales Stakes which is worth £1 Million in prize money. Economics is the strong Ante-Post favourite here at 3/1 but there are some classy horses trying to take the crown.
Ladies Day or to those of us who love racing “Thursday” hosts Ascot’s oldest Group 1 race The Ascot Gold Cup. With Kyprios now retired (who was warm favourite to win this race), will one of Aidan O’Briens other stayers’ keep the Gold Cup in his stable. O’Brien trained Illinois is now 5/4 favourite.
Friday and Saturday feature the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, Commenwealth Cup and The Platinium Jubilee Stakes as well as some very competitive Handicap races.
